Professional Bio

With 15 years of experience working with youth and communities in profit/non-profit agencies, health-care facilities, church organizational structures, and through various multicultural environments, Jeremy Franklin's interests continue to converge at the intersection of community engagement and empowerment.

Jeremy Franklin currently serves as Manager of Volunteer Services for the state of South Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice. He believes that accountability, advocacy, and access are the gateways to helping a generation realize their potential and freedom which is in concert with his personal values of authenticity, discovery, and restoration. His hope is that volunteers would connect today in order to impact tomorrow.

Jeremy Franklin earned his Bachelors of Science in Child Development and Family Relations under the umbrella program of Family and Community Services. He has always had a heart to see families and communities restored and transformed even while he grew up in Brevard, North Carolina. He later acquired his Masters of Divinity from Louisville Presbyterian Theological Seminary with focused areas of Pastoral Care and Counseling, Multicultural Leadership, and Community Revitalization. Additionally, he is a licensed minister.

He is a proud husband of a front-line worker and father of three beautiful children.

One of his favorite quotes is “The lifetime of an opportunity must be seized in the lifetime of the opportunity.” This speaks to the notion of limitless opportunities awaiting to be embraced and captured with someone willing to restore lost dreams and help reshape the pieces of one's story.
