Professional Bio

Liz started in the nonprofit world at Habitat for Humanity Georgetown County in January 2022 and hit the ground running! She joined the innovative and hardworking team as the Development Director. Not only does she write grants and fundraise, but she also keeps a close connection with the homeowners and volunteers. She's been referred to as a cheerleader for Habitat Georgetown's homeowners and the paparazzi for her volunteers as she's always capturing the everchanging, amazing moments during the homeownership journey. She's eagerly sharing those monumental moments on Habitat Georgetown's social media pages. Liz is truly blessed to be part of an amazing team and organization as they work to improve housing in Georgetown County by providing safe, affordable homes.

Previously to becoming a teammate at Habitat Georgetown, Liz worked at the local TV station, WPDE ABC 15 News in Conway SC. As an on-air reporter, she enjoyed connecting with the community, being a voice for the voiceless, and shedding light on the positive impacts happening along the Grand Strand. While at ABC 15 News she worked as an evening on-air reporter, then moved to dayside and spent the last 4 hours as a morning reporter that came with an alarm of 1:42 a.m! After nearly 8 years of working at ABC 15 News and 10 years in the news industry, it was time for a new challenge. She looks forward to expanding her skills, networking, and impact along the Grand and South Strand.

Liz is married to her husband Jake and lives in Murrells Inlet with her 2 young boys James and Austin, and their 2 dogs Wall-E and Casper.
