Thank you Board Members - For Good Connections

At Together SC, our work is rooted in the belief that South Carolina’s nonprofit sector is strongest when we come together to convene, advocate, and partner for the good of our communities.

That shared work is made possible by leaders who give their time, insight, and service to help guide our organization and strengthen the network we serve.

Today, I invite you to join me in thanking three Together SC Board members whose terms will come to a close on June 30, 2026:

• Nicole Echols, SC Cancer Alliance

• Amanda Lawrence, HCA Healthcare

• Stig Rasmussen, SC Office of Regulatory Staff

Each of these leaders has helped advance Together SC’s mission to strengthen and unite South Carolina’s nonprofit network.

Through their board service, they have supported our efforts to convene nonprofit leaders across roles and regions, advocate for a stronger and more visible nonprofit sector, and build partnerships that expand resources, connection, and impact statewide.

We had the opportunity to recognize and honor Nicole, Amanda, and Stig during our Together SC Annual Meeting on May 27.

More than 220 Together SC members registered for this virtual gathering, where we reflected on the progress we have made together and looked ahead to what’s next for our network.

We were also joined by Sam Cooper, PhD, and Brian Smith of the University of South Carolina Upstate’s George Dean Johnson, Jr. School of Business, who shared a preview of the upcoming State of the South Carolina Nonprofit Sector Report.

Their presentation offered a powerful look at the size, scope, and economic impact of the sector and reminded us why our shared work matters.
