<< Test First Name >>,

Today, I’m thrilled to share a major milestone in Together SC’s journey, the launch of our new five-year strategic plan and, with it, a refreshed mission and vision to carry us into 2030.

After months of listening and learning from more than 2,100 nonprofit and philanthropic voices across South Carolina, this plan charts a bold, collaborative path forward for our statewide network. It reflects your hopes, your challenges, and your determination to make South Carolina a place where every community can thrive.

🌟 Our New Mission

We Strengthen & Unite South Carolina's Nonprofit Network.

💛 Our New Vision

All South Carolinians Thrive, Together With a Vibrant Nonprofit Network.

Here’s how we’ll get there, together:

Expanding Access & Support

We’re growing opportunities for connection and learning through regional gatherings, stronger peer networks, and easy-to-use tools for leaders at every level. Our upcoming website redesign will make it easier than ever for your entire team to find what they need.

Elevating the Visibility of Nonprofits

Nonprofits are at the heart of South Carolina’s progress. Through storytelling, advocacy, and data, we’ll shine a light on your impact statewide, and launch a new Together SC Ambassador Program to elevate local voices and strengthen regional ties.

Ensuring Long-Term Sustainability

We’re investing in the future, growing earned income, grants, and sponsorships to sustain our mission, while strengthening the systems, staff, and infrastructure that support our members every day.

This plan represents your feedback and our shared future. It’s a commitment to building a stronger, more connected nonprofit network for the next generation of South Carolinians.

I invite you to read the full plan and explore what’s ahead: togethersc.org/strategic-plan

Thank you for walking alongside us, for your partnership, your leadership, and your belief that we’re all stronger when we work together.

For a stronger South Carolina,

Learning Together. Together SC Knowledge Sharing

Highlights of the Latest Policy Update

  • Shutdown Ends After 43 Days: The longest federal shutdown in U.S. history has officially ended. Congress approved a short-term deal funding the government through January 31, 2026, while bundling three key appropriations bills covering USDA (and SNAP), Veterans Affairs, and the Legislative Branch.

  • SNAP Fully Funded: With the USDA appropriations bill included in the “minibus,” SNAP is fully funded through September 30, 2026. SC DSS confirmed full November benefits will be distributed today, bringing relief to hundreds of thousands of South Carolinians.

  • ACA Subsidies Still Unresolved: The new deal did not extend enhanced ACA premium tax credits, which expire Dec. 31. Premiums are already rising, and more than 630,000 South Carolinians could see significant increases heading into 2026.
