Beverly Hutchison

Beverly Hutchison is the Executive Director of The Dee Norton Child Advocacy Center. Hutchison became the Executive Director in 2021, assuming her newest role at the center in the height of the pandemic. The mantra “how do I serve best?” has been threaded through each role that Hutchison served during her 32 years at Dee Norton Child
Advocacy Center.

Hutchison began as a volunteer when as a member of the Junior League of Charleston, she served as a child advocate volunteer in 1991-93. Her volunteerism continued when she joined the Board of Directors in 1996. Serving on the Board for five years, Hutchison held various leadership positions including President of the Board.

Hutchison joined the staff as a part-time Fundraising Coordinator in 2001 and in that role, she created and implemented successful fundraising events, worked on the first-ever endowment campaign and continued to grow the donor database. She assumed the Director of Development and Marketing for The Dee Norton Child Advocacy Center in 2013 where she was responsible for the strategic direction for fundraising and marketing for the Center and oversaw a successful $5 million capital campaign.
