Aren Pace`

Aren Pace serves as the Community Liaison for Homeless Services with the City of Columbia and as the Executive Director of Rapid Shelter Columbia Foundation. She holds an Associate’s in Women’s Studies from UMUC and both a Bachelor's and a Master's degree in Social Work from Troy University. She is a Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW). Aren's commitment to her role is rooted in a deep understanding of social determinants of health and well-being.
Her extensive experience working with diverse populations is informed by international social work studies in Costa Rica and Argentina, as well as significant cultural immersion throughout Europe. This global exposure has fostered a deep appreciation for diverse cultural perspectives and how much our environment and family systems contribute to our individual journeys.
Aren’s expertise lies in understanding societal issues and providing comprehensive, holistic support to individuals experiencing discrimination and life difficulties. Her practice is not just about connecting people to services. It is about understanding their individual stories, assessing their needs, identifying their strengths, and developing tailored treatment plans. From collaborating on new program initiatives and forging new partnerships with social service agencies, community partners, city officials, and citizens, she is dedicated to creating equitable opportunities and fostering a sense of community. She is a skilled community planner and problem-solver, adept at working with diverse stakeholders and navigating complex systems to achieve meaningful outcomes.
A Georgia native, Aren is married to Retired USAF Veteran, Derek Pace. They are the proud parents of two children and also have two dogs and one cat. In her personal time, Aren enjoys quality moments with family and friends, exploring new destinations through travel, connecting with nature, and attending music events.
