Well, it is true that time flies (when you're having fun).
I'd like to thank everyone I have met in my first full year at Together SC for many things: the warm welcome, the willingness to provide feedback, and your hospitality, as you have allowed me to visit and hear your stories.
And my, we each have lots of stories to tell!
It is my hope that we will continue to share your stories of good work throughout South Carolina, so that business and elected leaders respect the incredible work being done individually and collectively by this nonprofit network.
2025 has been a year of dynamic change and disruption, but also joy and gratitude for the people we are privileged to serve and those we work alongside each day.
I have learned so much this year about the strength of the South Carolina nonprofit network and the philanthropic community that supports them.
Together SC has been busy too as we navigated this year of transition. We have worked tirelessly to provide you with the tools, resources, and updates you need to not just survive the changes, but flourish.
We held 10 regional gatherings across the state, hosted dozens of member events both in-person and online, and raised the bar for timely public policy updates so you can stay in the know.
Plus, we've added two new peer networks to stay connected: one for Executive Directors & CEOs and another for Volunteer administrators as they coordinate volunteer staff for their nonprofits.
One of our biggest projects was developing a rigorous strategic planning process to produce our 2025-2030 strategic plan.
We got so much great feedback through one-on-one interviews, focus groups, and a quantitative survey. Over the coming weeks and months, we'll be sharing our goals, strategies, and tactics for being the best statewide nonprofit network we can be.
Our mission is simple yet powerful: Together SC is here to strengthen and unite South Carolina's nonprofit network.
This means new resources, tools, and content. We aim to make your life running a nonprofit just a little bit easier. And when we are all operating at peak performance, we can and will do amazing things for the people of South Carolina.
