👥 When Reputation is on the Line: Crisis Planning for Nonprofit Leaders
Marketing Peer Network Symposium
Spartanburg County Headquarters Library
Barrett Community Room 151 S. Church Street Spartanburg, SC 29306
A crisis can unfold quickly. A staff issue becomes public. A negative social media post gains traction. A reporter calls with questions. An unexpected event puts your organization, leadership, or mission under scrutiny.
Is your nonprofit ready to respond?
Join Together SC’s Marketing & Communications Peer Network for an in-person symposium focused on helping nonprofit professionals prepare for and confidently manage communications during a crisis.
Led by NP Strategy, this practical, half-day program will explore proven approaches to crisis communications, including:
- Communicating clearly with staff, board members, partners, and other internal audiences
- Working effectively with reporters and responding to media inquiries
- Deciding when, where, and whether to engage on social media
- Protecting your organization’s credibility while communicating with transparency
- Avoiding common mistakes that can make a difficult situation worse
Following the morning presentation, attendees will put what they have learned into practice during a hands-on workshop. With guidance from NP Strategy, participants will begin developing a crisis communications plan tailored to their own organization.
You will leave with greater confidence, practical tools, and a stronger foundation for responding when your nonprofit’s reputation is on the line.
