Professional Bio
Alana Jordan is the Founder and Principal Consultant of Inch by Inch Solutions, bringing more than 20 years of experience helping organizations grow, connect, and thrive.
Her career began in communications, where she discovered the power of storytelling to connect missions with the people who support them. Over time, she transitioned into development work, blending strategy with messaging to help organizations raise funds more effectively and build stronger relationships.
Throughout her career, Alana has supported a wide range of organizations and causes in South Carolina, including organizations like Together SC, The Unumb Center for Neurodevelopment, Justice 360, the SC Cancer Alliance, Richland First Steps, and St. Peter’s Catholic School. Earlier in her career, she led communications campaigns for major events like the South Carolina State Fair, the Rosewood Crawfish Festival, and the World Beer Festival.
A problem solver and creative thinker, Alana dreams big and then works with her clients to chart a clear, strategic path to get there. She believes that with the right mix of hard work, focus, and strategy, even the biggest goals can be reached one step at a time.
Today, Alana draws on this broad experience to help nonprofits and small businesses strengthen their capacity, align resources, and create sustainable growth. Her work blends strategic vision with hands-on guidance, helping leaders chart clear paths forward and stay focused on the small, consistent steps that lead to lasting impact.
Originally from the Detroit area, Alana has called South Carolina home for nearly 30 years. She lives in Lexington, S.C., with her husband and two daughters on a small two-acre farm, where they care for a handful of animals and tend a garden.
