Professional Bio

Mallory Panuelo is a civic engagement leader with a passion for expanding access to service and volunteer opportunities across South Carolina and beyond. As the State Lead for Civic Engagement with the SC Commission on National and Community Service, she supports statewide initiatives that strengthen nonprofit and public sector capacity through volunteerism, national service, and strategic partnerships. Mallory also serves as Chair of the Volunteer Administration Peer Network with Together SC, where she helps foster collaboration, professional development, and peer learning among volunteer engagement professionals.

Mallory’s work is grounded in her own lived experience growing up with limited access to service and career exploration pathways. After discovering her passion for meaningful, values-aligned work through the United Nations Youth Corps program at Coastal Carolina University, she became committed to helping other young people—especially in rural or under-resourced communities—find purpose and connection through civic life. Today, she continues that mission as a National Advisory Bureau Member with Youth250, a Made By Us initiative shaping how youth are included in the nation’s 250th anniversary. Through all her roles, Mallory centers equity, inclusion, and empowerment—believing that service should be accessible to all, not just those with privilege or proximity.
