Madelyn Smith is the Executive Director at Home Works, having previously served on staff since 2018 as Operations and Volunteer Coordinator. She is responsible for stewarding the Home Works team and mission of compassionate construction, building community partnerships, and overseeing vision and growth.
Madelyn is from the Columbia, SC area and is an alum of Heathwood Hall and Elon University (B.A., Journalism). She has a background in communications, ministry, and youth leadership development and previously served as an Assistant Director at Gravatt Camp and Conference Center and Director of Family Ministries at St. John's Episcopal. She is especially passionate about connecting multiple generations and widening perspectives through the repair program of Home Works, equipping volunteers to serve neighbors they may not otherwise have met.
