Professional Bio
Born in Cali, Colombia, South America, and a resident of the United States for 27 years, Luz brings more than 35 years of professional experience spanning the private sector, local government, and nonprofit leadership. Her career in systems engineering and IT project management, across both public and private sector organizations, gave her the operational foundation she later brought to mission-driven work. She holds a degree in Systems Engineering and a Master's in Management Information Systems from ICESI University in Colombia.
Her journey as an immigrant professional shaped a deep conviction: that children who are valued, seen, and given the right environment early enough can dream beyond the world they were born into. Bilingual in English and Spanish, she leads with a commitment to diversity, inclusion, and community partnership that reflects both her personal story and the mission of every organization she builds.
