Latorrie Geer

LaTorrie Geer is the Chief Executive Officer of CommunityWorks, a statewide Community Development Financial Institution dedicated to advancing economic mobility across South Carolina. With nearly twenty years of experience in community development finance and nonprofit leadership, she has led strategic growth, expanded lending, and increased capitalization efforts, strengthening the organization's portfolio of over $40 million and its statewide influence.
LaTorrie serves on several boards, including the Business Development Corporation (BDC), Self-Help Credit Union, South Carolina Association of Community Economic Development (SCACED), Greenville Connects, Anderson Interfaith Ministries (Finance/Treasurer), and the Richmond Federal Reserve Bank Community Investment Council. She also chairs the board of Generation4 and serves on the Green Bank Steering Committee.
Additionally, LaTorrie is the Principal Owner of Bleux Management Group and an alumnus of the Riley Institute's Diversity Leaders Initiative (DLI).
She earned a BS in Risk Management & Insurance and Human Resources from the University of South Carolina and is a certified Economic Development Finance Professional.
