Dr. Keona Prude is a seasoned nonprofit leader, communicator, and grant strategist with over a decade of experience in journalism, written communications, and strategic storytelling. Currently serving as the Grants and Communications Manager for Homes of Hope, she combines deep expertise in securing funding with a proven ability to craft narratives that inspire action and drive results.

With a professional background spanning business leadership, public relations, and nonprofit development, Dr. Prude specializes in aligning mission-driven organizations with the resources they need to thrive. She has successfully managed six-figure grant portfolios, developed funding strategies, and cultivated relationships with philanthropic partners, corporations, and local agencies.

A proud member of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Inc., Dr. Prude holds a Ph.D. in Human Services- Family Studies & Intervention Strategies and her dissertation, The Heteronormative Factors That Affect Black Lesbian Women’s Parenting Desires, reflects her commitment to equity, inclusion, and authentic storytelling. She is known for her precision, professionalism, and ability to translate complex program data into compelling cases for support.
