Professional Bio
Kate Ledbetter moved to Charleston in 1998 to study Historic Preservation and Community Planning at the College of Charleston. That journey completed a circuit across South Carolina that ultimately led her to put down roots in Charleston, where she has spent 20+ years working at the intersection of arts, preservation, education, and community engagement.
Throughout her career, Kate has served in leadership and development roles with organizations including Drayton Hall, the South Carolina Aquarium, Charleston Collegiate School, and Redux Contemporary Art Center.
Today, she is the Executive Director of Ohm Radio 96.3 FM, Charleston's nonprofit community radio station, where she champions local music, independent voices, and meaningful partnerships that strengthen the region's creative community.
In addition to her professional leadership, Kate serves as Secretary of the Board of Directors for Redux Contemporary Art Center and as a member of the Board of Trustees at Charleston Collegiate School.
Kate lives on Johns Island with her husband, Brian, and their two sons.
