Organization Overview

As a grantwriter and grant strategist with a 30-year background in education and the arts, Loren makes supporting organizations that enhance the lives of children and families in underserved communities the focus of her consulting and educational work. With initiatives that support trauma-informed programming, arts education, neighborhood green space, food security, women impacted by domestic violence and incarceration, and the disability community, her work has had far-reaching impacts on multiple sectors of the population across five states. A long-time South Carolina resident, she received grants from the South Carolina Arts Commission, Very Special Arts South Carolina, the South Carolina Department of Disabilities and Special Needs, and the South Carolina Department of Health and Environmental Control for her work in education and the arts.

Loren holds a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Master of Science in Education degree from Binghamton University, Grantsmanship Center training certification, Master Grant Certification from the Freelance Grantwriting Academy, and RCYT 200 certification with the Yoga Alliance. Her network includes a broad range of experts from across the nonprofit world with a combined 60+ years of experience and over $20 million in secured grants. She brings her expertise as a grant writer and consultant, arts educator, trauma-informed children’s yoga instructor, community gardener and pre K – 12 educator to support small to medium-sized nonprofits in securing the funding they need to create big impacts on their communities.
