Organization Overview
Dexterity Design LLC is a design strategy and creative practice founded by Danita J. Reese, built on twenty years of turning complex institutions into places where good work is actually possible. The practice exists to build the operational and cultural infrastructure that helps mission-driven organizations do their best work.
We work at the intersection of strategy, systems, and story, helping organizations diagnose what's broken, design what comes next, and tell the truth about the process and the outcomes.

THE APPROACH
We embrace ambiguity instead of rushing past it, because the fastest path to a lasting fix runs through an honest diagnosis. We build with the people who'll actually use what we make, not around them. And we hold rigor and warmth as the same practice infusing clarity, care, and a fair amount of laughter along the way.
That approach has a track record. As founding leadership of Philadelphia's first municipal Service Design Studio, Danita co-led the Equitable Community Engagement Toolkit, a first-of-its-kind resource built with 200+ collaborators and now adapted by design teams in Cincinnati, Dallas, Austin, Minnesota, and Colorado.
