Reach Your Full Potential as a Nonprofit Leader

Over the past two decades, hundreds of key nonprofit leaders have graduated from the Fred R. Sheheen Non-Profit Leadership Institute at Francis Marion University. They have used their new tools and insight to improve their organizations and to better the entire state of South Carolina.

It's your turn to reach your full potential as a non-profit leader. The Fred R. Sheheen Non-Profit Leadership Institute (NPLI) is now accepting applications for its twentieth season.

Through seminars held over seven months, the Institute will equip you with tools and strategies to boldly and effectively lead your organization. All seminars are led by nonprofit leaders, university faculty, and public officials.

Each interactive session provides practical insight, discussion of case studies, and peer collaboration.

NPLI seminar subjects include:

  • Comprehensive Fundraising
  • Performance Measurement
  • Public Policy
  • Board Relations
  • Public Relations

  • Operations

The 2022-2023 Non-Profit Leadership Institute will be held at The Continuum in Lake City, and meet monthly from September through April.

This year, as an added bonus, Together SC will be conducting the March Public Policy session.

Applications are due by July 28.
