Bridging Columbia Applications Now Open

Columbia business innovators partner for opportunity dedicated to Black leaders under 45  

(Columbia, SC, July 22, 2022) Bridging Columbia is accepting applications for the fall 2022 class.

The professional development program provides training to African Americans under 40 and prepares participants to serve on nonprofit boards and commissions.  

Applications for the upcoming class are open until Monday, August 22, 2022.

Bridging Columbia, now in its second year, is a partnership between The Talented Tenth SC, United Way of the Midlands, and Together SC. Hear what year one participants have to say.

As part of their effort to boost long-term talent retention in the region, MBLG (the Midlands Business Leadership Group) helped to develop and launch this exciting initiative.

Each cohort will go through a special version of United Way of the Midland's Blueprint for Leadership program.

Meeting dates:

Class 1  September 14

Class 2 September 28

Class 3 October 12

Class 4 November 2

Class 5  November 16

Class 6  December 7

Graduation in January

Upon graduating, each Bridging Columbia class member will be placed on a local nonprofit board (or commission) that directly aligns with their interests.
