Evaluation Opportunity: Social Work 793 Student Projects

Posted By Dr. Aidyn Iachini, Thursday, July 12, 2018

Is your organization interested in…

  • Understanding more about the needs of your clients or other stakeholders?

  • Identifying ways your organization or program might improve?

  • Evaluating an aspect of a program or strategy used by your organization?

We may be able to help!

The UofSC College of Social Work trains advanced graduate students in program evaluation. These students will be working with instructors to conduct several small-scale evaluation projects in selected community-based organizations in Columbia, SC. The project will take place from August 23 to December 7, 2018.

How would your organization benefit from this project?

Your organization will have an opportunity to come together and answer a pressing evaluation question with support from students and instructors from the UofSC College of Social Work. Your organization will receive a final report developed by advanced MSW graduate students that synthesizes what was learned through these processes. Your organization will also hear about the findings through a final presentation.

If your organization is interested in participating, please email Dr. Aidyn Iachini by July 31, 2018 at iachini@mailbox.sc.edu with the following information:

  • Name of Organization
  • Contact Information (phone and email address)
  • An idea for a small-scale evaluation project that could be carried out by advanced year MSW students

Dr. Iachini will then be in touch during July to talk further about your evaluation idea and the structure of the project/course.
