New Senior Counsel Joins CapDev

Together SC founding chair, J. Mac Bennett of Columbia, SC has joined Capital Development Services as a Senior Counsel.

Mac will apply his expertise from years of leading nonprofits to work with CapDev clients, primarily in the South Carolina region. From his beginnings at USC, to his CEO roles with the Central Carolina Community Foundation and most recently at United Way of the Midlands, Mac is not only experienced and knowledgeable, he is also known for his warm and positive nature, a perfect fit for CapDev!

What do you think about the Self-Sufficiency Standard?

The United Way Association of South Carolina is conducting a survey about The Self-Sufficiency Standard and would love to know your thoughts, feelings and needs surrounding the Standard. Organizations who participate in the survey will be entered into a drawing of a $150 gift card provided by the United Way Association. Two organizations will be selected from the drawing. To be eligible for this drawing organizations must submit the survey by August 31st. Winners will be announced by September 12th . To take the survey please click the link below. SC Arts Alliance Hosts Advocacy Day

The SC Arts Alliance invites you to join them for their annual arts advocacy day on Tues., Feb. 2, 2016.

Even if you haven't attended before, learn what to expect at the Statehouse and at the Legislative Appreciation Luncheon!

  • Come and thank members of the General Assembly for supporting an additional $1 million for arts education for FY15-16!
  • Learn about how you can support the arts and arts education in 2016.
  • Rally with arts advocates in the Statehouse Lobby by 11:30 a.m.
  • Observe the General Assembly from the House & Senate galleries.
  • Join your legislators at the Legislative Appreciation Luncheon at the Capital City Club (1201 Main Street, 25th Floor, Columbia) across from the Statehouse 1-2:30 p.m. in honor of the S.C. Legislative Arts Caucus House Arts Caucus
  • Special guest speaker - Pamela Lackey, president of AT&T South Carolina
  • Special student performance from The Doby's Mill Elementary School Choraliers, Kershaw County School District

Luncheon reservations are $40 per person.
