Clay M. Grayson is a founding partner of Grayson Thomas, a law firm that provides an array of integrated services to its clients and often acts as an outside office of general counsel. Clay is a corporate attorney with a background in taxation, intellectual property, and health information technology. While Clay represents a variety of business enterprises, a significant portion of his work is dedicated to nonprofit foundations that support universities, colleges, and hospitals, as well nonprofit educational and arts management organizations. Clay has extensive experience in federal taxation of exempt organizations, not-for-profit corporate governance, public private partnerships, physician and executive compensation, unrelated business income tax, charitable and planned giving, and joint ventures. Clay has a J.D. and Masters in International Business Studies from the University of South Carolina, and an LLM in Taxation from New York University.
