Advocacy is not only legal – it’s one of the most effective means for nonprofits to advance their missions.

This webinar, provided in partnership with the Alliance for Justice, offers advocacy rules for Foundation Grantees.

Most 501(c)(3) public charities rely on support from foundations to carry out their programs, but don't always understand the legal rules that govern how foundations can give out money for advocacy activities.

Understanding the rules that foundations operate under will help grantee organizations become more savvy when it comes to requesting support for their advocacy, and how to describe their work to funders. This one-hour webinar will explain why different types of foundations have to follow different rules, how those foundation rules affect advocacy grantmaking, what activities foundations may legally fund, and what activities a grantee should not ask a foundation to fund.

Webinar Cost: $25

* While this webinar applies to advocacy rules for nationwide Foundation Grantees, Together SC understands that the rules for South Carolinian Foundation Grantees may differ.

As such, Together SC will offer a webinar specific to Foundation Grantees inside the state of South Carolina.  Our webinar will be hosted by Ann Timberlake of Timberlake Communications, LLC and will be available on Monday, April 9, 2018.

Details will be forthcoming so please be on the lookout.
